Frequently asked questions
What types of lead plate do you manufacture?
We produce lead anode plates, lead cathode plates, lead table tops, lead semiconductor plates and bespoke lead plates manufactured to customer drawings.
What thicknesses can you supply?
Lead plates can be manufactured from 1mm up to 100mm+ depending on application. Most plating, semiconductor and lab table top applications fall in the 3mm to 50mm range.
Do you supply lead plates for vibration damping or sound insulation?
Yes. Lead plates are used for sound deadening, vibration damping in laboratory tables, and as semiconductor work surfaces.
Can you cut lead plates to size?
Yes — supply us with the dimensions and tolerance you require and we will cut to specification. Drilled holes, tapped fittings and bespoke profiles are also available.
What alloys are used for plating anode plates?
Anode plates are typically antimonial lead, tin/lead or pure lead depending on the plating process. Tell us your application and we will recommend the right alloy.
